The highly coveted summit welcomes UK’s leading peer-to-peer energy exchange provider

UrbanChain, backed by leading global investment firm Eurazeo, have signed up as a Blue Earth Summit Partner.

Billed as ‘Where Innovation Meets Action’, the Blue Earth Summit will bring together over 7,000 of the world's most passionate innovators, startups, investors, corporations, politicians, adventurers, academics, media professionals, and campaigners.

After three years in Bristol the Blue Earth Summit will be held at Woolwich Works, London from October 16 to 18.

UrbanChain’s Founder CEO Somayeh Taheri will speak during the ‘Energy Futures: Accelerating into the new energy paradigm’ panel, alongside Susie Leppard, Head of Renewables OVO, and Nigel Pocklington, CEO, Good Energy.

Keme Nzerem, Journalist and Channel 4 Presenter, will moderate the session on the Futures Stage from 3.30pm to 4.20pm on Wednesday, October 16.

The session will focus on technologies set to drive system wide efficiencies and resolve the intermittency problem with renewables, the policy requirements to deliver a decentralised, low carbon energy system and the innovative solutions set to disrupt traditional systems and the existing market.

UrbanChain are the UK’s leading provider of peer-to-peer energy exchange services. They help people who generate renewable energy, sell it directly to people who want it.

Organisations including local government, generators of renewable energy, data centres, office buildings, industrial sites and housing associations all trade within their regulated platform, which is blockchain backed and powered by AI.
