  • Division: Operations

    Working as part of the Operations Team, this role is to primarily ensure all of our customers have a smooth registration journey when joining Urban Chain. It will include making sure all new contracts are validated for onboarding and working with other departments to solve problems to a speedy conclusion. The role includes some customer contact so a professional approach is required.

  • Division: Finance
    Location: Office Based


    As a finance assistant, you will work closely with the management accountant, the customers service team and externally with customers and suppliers. Your responsibility are as follows:

    Account receivable responsibilities:

    • Manage customer setup process which includes adding contact information financial information in xero.

    • Prepare and process all monthly invoices accurately and send them out to consumers.

    • Email all invoices to consumers and resolve any invoice discrepancies.

    • Generating account statements.

    • Maintain precise records of all incoming payments and contact consumers as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.

    • Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments.

    • Receivable scheduling and follow ups with customers

    • Pre-action arrangement with collection team

    • Coordinate and prepare collection status report


    Accounts payable responsibilities:

    • Upload all bills to xero and email out to supplier/brokers.

    • Communicate with suppliers through email/telephone and assist with resolving any queries.

    • Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to generators in a timely manner.

    • Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment.

    • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables.

    • Reconcile statement of accounts to understand any discrepancies with the accounts.

    • Constant monitoring of credit rating

  • Division: Technical Team

    Location: 4 days Office Based - 1 day WFH

    Our technical team plays a crucial role in realising business objectives. This involves providing technological capabilities, including internal and external software applications, maintenance and upgrades, and executing technology implementations for new initiatives. The role will initially focus on building a our greenfield platform projects.

    Full Stack Developer Responsibilities:

    As a Full Stack Engineer at Urbanchain, you will play a crucial role in developing internal and external software applications. Your responsibilities will include:

    Development: Designing and implementing data management processes using serverless components on AWS.

    Configuration and Deployment: Configuring and deploying code-driven solutions that encompass application endpoints such as APIs, Lambdas, and web applications.

    Translation of Business Requirements: Translating business requirements into functional code and ensuring alignment with project goals.

    Testing and Validation: Conducting thorough testing and validation of developed solutions to ensure robustness and reliability.

    Collaboration: Engaging with team members to shape the architecture and structure of future development work, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

    Development Approaches: Involvement in both in-house development and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) implementations.

    Technical Requirements

    We are seeking a candidate with the following technical skills and experience:

    Programming Languages: Solid experience working with Typescript in containerised or serverless environments.

    Frameworks: Proficient in using Express and React frameworks, with experience in working with libraries similar to Sequelize.

    Database Knowledge: Strong working knowledge relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres SQL and MongoDB; familiarity with ElasticSearch or Apache Solr is beneficial.

    AWS Expertise: Comfortable working with AWS EventBridge and a good understanding of event-driven systems. Experience with AWS Lambda or comparable services from other cloud providers is essential.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

    Three years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

    Responsibilities
    :

    • Monitor Contracts inbox for new contracts and re-application requests.

    • Quality checking supply and generation contracts, also monitoring we have the correct LOA’s in place for the supply/generation contract.

    • Create FIL files and send them to Rebel.

    • Monitor registrations and re-applications, liaise with and chase up Rebel where required.

    • Daily monitoring of Ecoes data for pending, objected, gained, and losing sites.

    • Inform brokers of objected sites and provide registration updates.

    • Validate received NHH reads, submit acceptable reads, and monitor for BSC validation. Query unacceptable reads with the customer.

    • Raise read disputes where required.

    • Monitor the operations inbox for meter reads, contract queries, or terminations, and process accordingly.

    • Create and store weekly operation reports for brokers.
