UrbanChain announces Elvis Kara promotion

The UK’s leading provider of peer-to-peer energy exchange services has promoted Elvis Kara to Head of Account Management - Operations.

Elvis joined UrbanChain as Team Manager in 2023 and has been rewarded with a new role at the growing CleanTech company.

UC’s Managing Executive Stephen Cornish said: “The Board is keen to reward loyalty and performance as UrbanChain transitions into its high growth business phase and it is very pleasing to see Elvis progress so well with the company. He is a popular member of the team and a key cog in the culture that we are creating. A culture of understanding UrbanChain’s client journey with humility, improving performance and product differentiation at its heart.”

Manchester-based UrbanChain, backed by global investment firm Eurazeo, enables companies from the private sector, generators of renewable energy and organisations in the public sector to build their own 100% green and localised energy markets.

Its deeptech peer-to-peer energy exchange platform uses integrated smart contracts and ML to match generators of renewable energy and consumers on a half hourly basis - resulting in secure energy prices and secure physical flows for energy generators.

Elvis said: “It’s been a privilege to work for UrbanChain over the past year and an even bigger one to step into this new role.

“I’m delighted to be part of the UrbanChain team, which is making major strides to bolster the experience of our customers via our team’s operational development.”
